DotA Allstars 6.68c AI Test of -alldagons (-ad) mode
I decided to upload a video from the new -ad (AllDagons) mode. In that video you can see how the AI gets random level Dagon and use it at the enemies. Then if there was another item at that slot it swaps back that item. If the temporary Dagon is not used in fight, the moment AI decides to teleport back or enters fountain area, the Dagon will be removed and the old item (if there is any) will be put back. That way i`m trying to keep the item`s build in integrity. Also you can see another "feature"... instead of editing 100+ item builds (AGAIN) so the AI have space for Scrolls of Teleport (which will make the release of the map impossible in the near future) i made a check if there is an empty space or salves, a TP scroll will spawn near that AI player and he will pick it up and teleport to the fountain. That way i also kinda fix the bug with the Teleport cancelling out of fountain because the skill will be in a cool down at the time when the AI player will head out off the fountain area.

Good day PBMN! This new -ad(AllDagons) mode really excites me. You continue to amazed us and hoping for an earliest release of 6.68c ai map. I just have a question to ask(not again! sigh!), Every time me and my friend play DoTA in Pub games he always pick Tiny. Aside from buying the core recipe for Tiny, he always buys Dagon for him and it really annoys me. I am hopeless when he uses Dagger-stun-toss-dagon combo! My question is(Finally!) who are the heroes in your 6.68aic map that uses Dagon? Just name a few if you can't put them all here. Peace:-)
ReplyDeleteHm, at that moment those pops out in my mind: NA, Pugna, AA, Zeus, Tinker, Furion, Lion...
ReplyDeleteBut i`m waiting reworked Item Builds so things can change. Also some heroes got 2 Item Builds different from each other, so sometimes a hero can have a Dagon, sometimes not.
Will there be a "no-dagon-mode" - like no-necronomicon?
ReplyDelete"No dagon mode" needs a lot more work like new item builds for the dagon using AIs. If there is time for that... it will be implemented. But i don`t know if that will happen for the next release.
ReplyDeleteAn information my friend will be released when the Al 6.68? why not stand to wait I play with the new Heroes? vcs tao at the last moment to launch a mano ai hope:), is warning'm sorry my English to Brazilian trying.
ReplyDeleteI want ask are you replace Harreke or Harreke make own map 6.68 ai and you make own 6.68 ai
ReplyDeleteHarreke makes his own project.
ReplyDeleteYah, Harreke does but no update/development since then. Just visited playdota.com(I'm a visitor since August 2009 with a name ulysses) today and still no news about Harreke. PMBN told me that he's Chinese and I was looking for him even in Chinese web sites since then and yet no news about Harreke.
ReplyDeletePBMN can u post 6.68ai without additional modes first plsssssss
ReplyDeleteI can`t post because the item builds are not ready. If there are no item builds... there is no point to play or improve AI because the item builds are a vital part of the strength of the heroes. Patience.
ReplyDeleteHey BugMeNot thanks for your hard work on AI maps
ReplyDeleteBeen enjoying playing with couple of friends from several version :)
Btw do you have link where I can stream the video online?
I tried the download link but it isnt working for me.
I am kinda interested to see on this new mode.
Thanks
Hi there
ReplyDeleteQuick question PBMN. Aside from finishing touches on item builds what else remains to be done before the release? Are there only random bugs or are you still developing the AI for heroes like Wisp, Thrall, Windrunner etc?
There are 2-3 bugs which are really annoying and i`m struggling to find a day or two to work hard on them. The most i like is improving the AI of the heroes... but i do that the least because of a buggy map behavior and other boring things.
