Good news

I`ve been really busy last weeks and now i`m slowly picking the AI script again. We are going to test the latest map i got and try to pinpoint and fix the critical bugs which the map porting introduced (yes there are new bugs... like we didn`t have enough with the older version lol). The most critical one (we called it NAB bug - 'Not Assembling Bug')... sometimes, totally random, a recipe disappears when bought and the item is not assembled. You can understand that this is a major flaw and map can`t be released in such a state.

On the good side... BuffMePlz aka BMP is back to the PD forums and he is helping us with advices and probably some fixes :) I`ll try not to overload him with my hundreds of questions :) but the knowledge he possesses is so precious that i can`t sleep thinking of the possibilities lol. I`m really happy!

  7. You rock bro! Thanks for your hard work. I know it can be very annoying to do such irritating and complicated stuff under the demands of so many people. However, could you keep us update about the map, because we are very excited about it. I know you are very busy but just update the blog when you can. :D Thanks alot!

  10. Hi. For new release. Is it possible to include someway to stop computer purchase Manta. Probably I'm suck. But seriously. When insane computer cheat on level and money. I can not find a way to deal with those image. Especially when they got butterfly. At later stage even 1 image can kill tower or even kill hero.

    Win rate against AI hero who purchase manta is lower than 10%. If there are 2 hero with Manta is surely lose.

  12. Great to hear that then! Welcome back BMP! Now it's confirmed that PBMN and BMP isn't one person:)

    btw could you give us what particular item that couldn't be assembled by ai's? If the item is not that important for a hero, could you release it sooner?

    P.S. do you think the return of PBMN has something to do with the upcoming DoTA 2? What do you think would be his role in DoTA 2? an ai creator perhaps?

  15. uhm, you really are a noob pbmn, can you really a map by yourself like BMP, he did all his great word by himself. And the last thing, you said that you did it for no profit so please stop posting it in fileserve or filesonic cause that made you a really sucker.
    In blogspot u can post any image in it, try to post it directly next time.

  16. Please list the algorithm you use (if it is small - you DID say this was boring) to check each of the 700 or so leaks. Most gamers who know a programming language or two can follow and help.

    Also something unrelated but I don't see anyone else asking for it: in the -cui allow a share control option. I understand that the ai scripts will fight with player orders, but its better than nothing when u want AI to take turns tanking rosh or neutraling with my personal mode (-ntnmnb). Also the two competing commands theoretically could be made to work in tandem but making the player orders (via subcommand) have priority and the script orders shift-clicked. There is already an 'ai's current order is "stop" so check for appropriate action' script I believe, so this should work well for players who cancel their orders by simply giving the ai the stop order.

    A little warning about messing up builds, etc. would assure players don't spam you about how giving control messes up this or that.

  25. well, there always people like @tsunami everywhere :) here and there that not appreciate other people effort.

    the sickening part is, sometimes they look for opensource / free stuff, and whining that it not work as the way they want, or whining bug with bad languange *gees*

    just leave those people comments and no need to be taken seriously :) or it will eat you from the inside :D cheers

    it's kinda "curse" for every DotA AI programmer to receive those kind of messages hehehe
