DotA 6.72f AI release delayed

Hello, again.
We discussed the release with Cloud_str and we came to conclusion that we need a little more developing time. During that time, many heroes will get their long anticipated AI, so i guess at the end the long waiting will be rewarded.
Basically the good news outbid the bad news of the delay: we get more AI for the heroes, bugs get fixed and skill usages get refined. Cloud_Str is a coding machine :) and every dev day means new amazing things and possibilities in the DotA AI world. Stay tuned... the release is definitely coming!!!

  7. i was disappointed at first but when i think about it, if you take your time and keep developing, when the map is released, it'd be awesome.

  12. Take your time guys, I know you do your best.
    And please add a command to disable extra gold (or extra inventory) when the AIs buy starting items e.g. 1 Bracer + 1 Ring of Regeneration + 2 Healing Slaves, 525+350+2(100)=1075
    It is hard to get a an early kill.

  13. Yea it's much better to get a solid release than have to wait on another 'patched' versions without bugs. Just take the time to do it right, no big deal waiting on it.

  15. Well... But make the AI more reals, put down their gold and regen like a normal player too :S
    And don't give them a "Ring of Regeneration" and "Healing Salve" for free... Make this game for train, if you want a modified game, make separated maps too! One more real, and one like you want with magic "TP" and free items for bots :S

  18. Yeah, we can all wait... Could you just give an approximation of the delay? Is it going to be days, or weeks, or months (or even years?)?

    Is it possible for you to release a version which need not have ai for all heroes, but just the new concepts (which you have already completed)? Cuz many of us here want the map to just try some things out, without having to wait for a human player.

    This does not mean that i don't understand the amount of work involved. I have personally modified the ai scripts and checked out quite a few possibilities, and its not like you have an army of people.... (And yeah, its free for us)

  19. Well thx for your hard work. I was wondering if you can add command like MODEL SIZE(like in tiny ulti,only visual effect no diffrence in collision size.For those like me who like play dota with custom models.

  25. The only thing we, or rather I, would like to say to you guys is: Take your time and don't rush it. If you think the map needs tweaking then by all means implement it.

  27. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I waited so long for this day.... (believe me or not, i check your blog like... 10 times a day since the last notice :( - but ....argww). Oh well, i guess the more hungry you get, the better the food taste =D

  29. Kind've disappointing to hear, kind've not. I'm a patient person so... whenever it's ready. Oh. if you aren't already, there's one specific AI i feel you should do a bit of work on, which is the goblin techies. You could change where they place their mines, for instance, the techies randomly place mines at spawn, instead of putting them near towers, or common paths taken through the forests. Maybe have him place them instead throughout the forest, or have him horde them at the acolyte shop in the woods. hope you read this or are already working on it. thanks.
